Has your Nintendo Switch suddenly stopped charging? It’s a common issue which we see a lot due to the charging port becoming either damaged or loose from the PCB mother board. In both cases we are able to safely remove the mother board from the device and heat off the damaged charging port and re solder a new charging port to the board.
We charge £60 to carry out this repair in our Norwich store which is found on Castle Meadow opposite the Castle Quarter entrance.
We have also started to see other relating error codes on the charging circuit which we have also repaired successfully, namely the 2101-0001 charging error code. This involved replacing the charging port and the power management IC. For this repair we charge £100.
In this current economic crisis we find its much cheaper to repair than to replace, it’s also much better for the environment to get these devices repaired.
