We all know that things right now are challenging, with the cost of essentials from food and drink to fuel, electricity and gas sky rocketing across the board.
This can make it tricky if you’re coming up for a renewal on your phone contract when your phone has a fault or needs a repair. Maybe it’s got a small crack in the screen or if you feel as though it could be running better or faster.
The excitement of getting a new mobile phone model is something we all get each 18 / 24 months, but before you throw money at the problem by upgrading and fixing in on an expensive new (often) 2 year contract, perhaps you should consider a repair instead.
Here at Smart Tech Repairs we have over 20 years experience making your handset as good as new: from mobile phone screen repairs, to battery and case replacements, charging port repairs, liquid diagnostics and water damage repairs, camera fixes and software issue investigations. There has never been an easier way to make the mobile phone you already have work better for you, saving you money long-term and releasing you from the requirement to get into costly new contracts.
Even Martin Lewis, founder of financial advice website Money Saving Expert, thinks it could be better value to get a sim only deal than it is a new contract on your mobile phone:
“There are two types of Sim only deals – 30-day rolling contracts which you’re free to leave with a month’s notice, or fixed-term contracts, usually locking you in for 12 months (often, though not always, better value). These are great value if you already have a handset or can afford to buy a new handset upfront, and work out better for heavy data users.”

So instead of panicking and upgrading, think to yourself, if your phone was repaired: “Am I happy with my phone model?”, “Does it offer me what I need?” and you’ll usually find the answer and cheaper alternative solution is “Yes!”.
